Noites no Observatório

Until we organise local events again, we will be online through the series The Universe Online.

Noites no Observatório invites the public to experience the Universe, on the last Saturday of every month, through public lectures and observations of the night sky with telescopes.

This project of Instituto de Astrofísica e Ciências do Espaço (IA) started in the late 2009. Since November 2015 this sessions are organised in partnership with the Planetário Calouste Gulbenkian – Centro Ciência Viva.

The admission is free but subject to registration.

Inhabiting other Planets

In the session of Noites no Observatório, this May, we will discuss several challenges posed by a human colony on another planet, an adventure that is, without question, of the scope of mankind.

Planets in the light of the stars

Free entrance
At the November session of Noites no Observatório we will learn how astronomers 'listen' the the sounds of the stars, then using that information to characterise with high detail the planets around them.
