Life on Mars

Marte 2030 - Vida em Marte

Video record of session 1 of the Cycle Mars 2030 (in Portuguese)

After Earth, the red planet is the Solar System body where life is most likely to have existed. Which data allow us to believe in that? And what is the relationship between searching for Life on Mars and sending human beings by 2030?

Researchers Adriano Henriques and Zita Martins, respectively from Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (ITQB-NOVA) and Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) talk about the search for life on the red planet. Moderation by David Marçal (iNOVA Media Lab).

The session took place on the 26th of October 2018 in Centro Cultural de Belém, Lisboa.

Cycle Mars 2030 is a co-production of Instituto de Astrofísica e Ciências do Espaço (IA), Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (ITQB-NOVA), and Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB).
