Teresa Barata and Ricardo Gafeira, researchers at Instituto de Astrofísica e Ciências do Espaço (IA) and Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade de Coimbra (FCTUC), offer an overview (in Portuguese) of what is being done, in Portugal and abroad, in the forecast of solar activity and the mitigation of its human and economic impacts.
