A new study, authored by Iris Breda, Polychronis Papaderos and Jean Michel Gomes of Instituto de Astrofísica e Ciências do Espaço (IA) and published in Astronomy & Astrophysics, questions our present knowledge on the formation and evolution of spiral galaxies.

Iris Breda explained to program “E=mc²”, from Rádio Observador, the reasoning behind this study and what are the implications of its discovery to our present knowledge on the formation and evolution of spiral galaxies. The podcast is in Portuguese.
