Stars for Ukraine – Relief Astronomy Event

The Institute of Astrophysics and Space Sciences (IA) joins the solidarity movement for Ukraine, and organises a free astronomy event to collect goods to be sent to refugee populations from Ukraine.

These will be collected by Mriya Association – Centre of Aid for Ukraine, one of the institutions that are delivering food, equipments, medical and hygiene products to reception centres for refugees in Ukraine and bordering countries.

The event will include observations with telescopes (if weather conditions allow), hands-on activities about the sky and stars, visits to the historical building, short talks given by researchers, and a fun astronomy quiz.
