Is Mars capable of supporting the life of human beings? As soon as a space crew lands on the surface of Mars, their resistance will be put to the test by the harsh conditions of the red planet. Growing food, keeping a good physical and mental health, and even breathing, will be difficult tasks in a cold environment, thin air and without liquid water.
Join in a conversation with the researchers Isabel Abreu and Pedro Machado, respectively from Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (ITQB-NOVA), and Instituto de Astrofísica e Ciências do Espaço (IA) and Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (FCUL). Moderation by the journalist Vera Novais (Observador).
The Mars 2030 series is a co-production of the Instituto de Astrofísica e Ciências do Espaço (IA), Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (ITQB-NOVA) and Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB).
